The Leadership, Service and Career (LSC) Certificate of Completion is provided to students who have engaged in leadership, service, and career development during their time at UC Merced. The program prepares students to be engaged citizen leaders with a set of career-readiness skills. The program consists of seven workshops that build on students' own meaningful experiences. These workshops are divided into three modules (Leadership, Service, and Career) and a culminating seminar. This is a self-paced program. You may elect to complete all of the program modules through the course of a semester or one academic year. You will be able to register for the Leadership, Service and Career modules once all requirements are complete and the application approved.
Students who complete all requirements will have engaged in both leadership and service. Those who earn this certificate will also have taken steps to become career-ready upon earning their degree at UC Merced. The goal of the Leadership, Service and Career Certificate of Completion is to encourage students to engage in the experiences necessary to develop as leaders, responsible community members, and professionals.
- Students must complete and provide proof of completion for several experience requirements through the Margo F. Souza Student Leadership Center, Community Engagement Center, and the Center for Career & Professional Advancement at UC Merced. See these unique requirements below.
- Students must submit a complete application and required documents by the semester deadline. Students may submit their application form in either the Fall or the Spring semester.
- Deadline for Fall 2021: Tuesday, Nov. 23rd 11:59pm.
- Deadline for Spring 2022: (Announced January 2022)
